Trinity Jubilee Center – Health Services Coordinator
Position Summary
Position details
The Trinity Jubilee Center is a secular nonprofit and the social service hub for Lewiston-Auburn, Maine. Since opening in 1991, the Center has provided comprehensive support through five core programs: a soup kitchen and food rescue project, food pantry and diaper bank, day shelter, resource center and free clinic, and immigrant integration program. These services help over 4,000 individuals each year get back on their feet by addressing unmet needs in one of Maine’s most impoverished communities.
Located in downtown Lewiston, the Center is undergoing an exciting transformation. Having outgrown its current space in a rented church basement, a new, purpose-built facility is set to open in late 2025. This expansion will significantly enhance the Center’s ability to provide medical, mental health, and substance misuse services—critical public health resources for a high-need population.
As a Public Health AmeriCorps member at the Trinity Jubilee Center, you’ll be at the heart of expanding life-changing public health services for the community. You’ll connect with local agencies to bring critical medical, mental health, and substance misuse services on-site, ensuring that people in need have access to care. From scheduling providers and patients to promoting services and identifying gaps, you’ll play a key role in strengthening the Center’s impact.
Beyond coordination, you’ll be hands-on in the day shelter, building relationships with guests and helping them access essential resources, including showers, laundry facilities, and harm reduction supplies like HIV tests and overdose reversal medication. Every day, you’ll be making a direct difference in people’s lives by removing barriers to care and ensuring they have the support they need.
Your service will also help shape the future of the Center’s programs. By gathering insights from guests, tracking service usage, and assessing community needs, you’ll contribute to the ongoing development of programs that truly respond to the challenges people face.
