Goodwill Partners with Maine GearShare for Earth Month Event

Repair Fair: 

11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday, April 18 
South Portland, Maine Goodwill store at 555 Maine Malll Road

Maine GearShare and Goodwill NNE are partnering to bring you another Apparel Repair Fair during Earth Month – this time at the South Portland, Maine Goodwill store! Previously hosted at the Portsmouth, New Hampshire store, community members are able to repair everything from wallets and coat zippers to holes in their favorite pair of jeans. Attendees of the April Repair Fair can shop for thrifted treasures while Maine GearShare staff and volunteers repair their damaged apparel for free! 

Goodwill NNE is a leader in re-use, but partnering with Maine GearShare to offer repair is an important part of our sustainability efforts to keep materials in use and out of landfills. 

As Goodwill celebrates Earth Month with this free sustainability event, there will be great opportunities to connect with eco-minded community members, learn sustainability tips and resources, and celebrate our planet. Stores will have free stickers during April, while supplies last. Goodwill NNE stores and donation centers are open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. daily.
