Lubec Community Outreach Center (LCOC) is dedicated to removing barriers and improving lives in our community, with a special focus on youth and families. Located in the easternmost corner of the U.S., Lubec is home to a resilient and diverse population, deeply connected to its history and natural beauty. LCOC is committed to honoring this heritage while fostering opportunities for a thriving future. We offer a range of educational, creative, health, and human services designed to support our neighbors at every stage of life. From after-school programs and summer activities for youth to wellness initiatives and enrichment opportunities for adults and seniors, LCOC serves as a cornerstone of community connection. Housed within Lubec Consolidated School, LCOC is a hub for activity, providing easy access to essential resources. In addition to youth programs, we operate a bi-monthly Food Pantry serving hundreds, a Thrift Store offering affordable essentials, community classes, workshops, and dedicated art and fabric studios. Our space also serves as a gathering place for older adults and a meeting location for key partners offering vital services. LCOC is powered by a small but passionate staff, a dedicated Board of Directors, and a growing network of volunteers who bring our mission to life, ensuring Lubec remains a vibrant and supportive place for all.

As the Bridge Program Coordinator, you’ll play a dynamic role as a mentor, guide, and leader for youth in grades 7-12. Your work will blend planning, outreach, and logistics with the heart of the program—building relationships, listening deeply, and helping young people see their potential and their community in a new light. You’ll coordinate activities, develop partnerships, and create opportunities for youth to engage in meaningful experiences that build confidence, leadership, and a sense of belonging. Whether organizing events, facilitating discussions, or simply being a steady, trusted presence, you’ll help shape a program that empowers youth to thrive. This role requires patience, kindness, and the ability to respond to the emotional and social needs of youth while also handling the day-to-day operations that keep the program running. If you’re ready to make a lasting impact and be part of something bigger, we want to hear from you!
