Goodwill NNE VISTA Partnership
Position Summary
Position details

Our AmeriCorps VISTA members work to reduce poverty in their communities through indirect, capacity-building service at local non-profits. We are currently hiring for positions across Maine and New Hampshire with partners who focus on providing their communities with affordable housing, are building community through the arts, ensure seniors have access to transportation, provide educational and workforce support, and so many more important community focuses.
Our Program

Since 2015, the Goodwill NNE VISTA Partnership has sought to alleviate poverty in communities across Maine and New Hampshire from the most rural areas to the most populous cities. VISTA Members support capacity-building and organizational-development goals of local agencies, including schools and nonprofits, providing invaluable boosts to the wellbeing of communities through indirect service such as creating new programs, assisting with community assessments, fundraising and grant writing, communications work, increasing social media presence, and recruiting and managing volunteers among other projects.
The organizations we partner with focus on sustainable solutions for the issues that they see in their communities every day. Our partners provide solutions to important community issues including but not limited to affordable housing, support for seniors, food security, assisting New Americans, educational support, and accessible transportation while often relying on volunteers to make what they do happen. Our VISTAs help them to strengthen their organizational development so that they can continue to serve their communities on a greater level.
At present, our members are assisting with community assessments, fundraising and grant writing, increasing social media presences, recruiting and managing volunteers, and creating rideshare programs for seniors (just to name a few) in partner agencies situated from the Seacoast of New Hampshire to the border towns of Lubec and Limestone, Maine.
