“I have the best crew there is” – Joe leads by example as a manager with NNEES

A manager for the Northern New England Employment Services (NNEES) team at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in New Hampshire, Joe helps make sure the shipyard stays in ship shape. His cleaning team, along with all Northern New England Employment Services teams, is largely comprised of people with disabilities. By his estimation, his team is the best in the world, full of hard workers with great attitudes.

In 2019, Joe came to Workforce Solutions for help getting a job. He got assistance creating and sending out his resume and support through the prospecting process. Soon he was hired for NNEES as a manager.

“You can’t do it by yourself,” Joe says of his current team. “They go above and beyond every day.” Clearly we think Joe does, too.

Joe is the recipient of Goodwill’s 2019 Cleaning Client of the Year award.
